Rustle of Spring

I was listening to Sirius XM 75 today and was invited to post on their Facebook page my favorite classical song that describes some element of nature or the weather. I knew there must be one; it was calling to me from the recesses of my emotional memory, but couldn’t think of it. I went hiking in the hills with my dog and my camera, and found myself photographing the brilliant fresh green spring leaves rustling in the wind, and the crocuses, and the wild little violets… Then I remembered a song I heard on a classical piano LP that my mother bought years ago – “Rustle of Spring” by Christian Sinding. I never quite mastered it on the piano – but, oh, I love listening to it. Someday, I’ll make a slideshow… or maybe design a new card!
