I call Amos Wiebe “the wildlife whisperer.” He captures remarkable pictures of creatures in the woods – everything from big bull moose to tiny owls most of us would never see. He has also created highly entertaining videos of grizzly cubs play wrestling and an owl shaking the snow off its feathers in a storm.
Famous Amos shares his images and stories generously with his over 37,000 followers on Facebook. We are delighted to have this window into his time in the woods and to see the wildlife that look at him long enough for him to take their picture. Sometimes his beloved dog, Harley the Boston Terrier, goes along on his photography shoots and spots the deer for him.
Amos grew up near La Glace, Alberta, where he developed an interest in photography. That interest has been transformed into a passion for creating stunning landscape and nature images in just the right lighting to reflect the wonders of God’s creation. Amos has a special interest in photographing Steve, the mysterious auroral arc, which you can see here.
