Acrylic painting by Sandy Troudt, AFCA, Fort St. John, B.C.
Story on the back:
Sandy and her husband have carved their home place out of the wilderness of northern British Columbia, and her surroundings have an endless ability to move and inspire her. Sandy’s priority is to develop an impression of the essence and liveliness of her subjects with an emphasis on contrast, colour relationships and the magic of light.
When she saw this image of a grizzly bear backlit by the sun, she couldn’t resist bringing him to life on the canvas in all his fiery, furry glory.
Sandy is very active in the artistic community as a member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and Flying Colours Artists’ Association.
