Description

Story on the back:
This deer was so enjoying plucking the ripe apples from my neighbour’s tree, she was not at all concerned that I was standing only a few feet away about to shoot her with my Nikon.
When our eyes met, perhaps she could see that I was enjoying the scene as much as she was enjoying chowing down on the flavourful fruit of the season. I smiled to thank her for the inspiration to seize the day as I went on my way.

Carpe Diem (kärpā ˈdēˌem) is a Latin aphorism, taken from Book 1 of the Roman poet Horace’s work Odes (23 BC). It is usually translated “seize the day.” However, carpe actually refers to picking or plucking something; therefore, a more literal translation would be “pluck the day [as it is ripe].” Source: Wikipedia
